Run the jobs

The best field service management software for trades

Buying an all-in-one platform means one company holds your schedule, your customer list, your invoices and your card processing. That is the trade you are making. You get one login for the crew and one bill at the end of the month. You also give up the option to swap out the weak part later without moving everything. Price the whole bundle, not the one feature you came for.

I want the tool that covers the most ground. Ranked by how many of this category's jobs the tool does out of the box. Features that cost extra count for less than ones that are included, and we do not reward a long feature list if half of it is an add-on.

What decides it in field service management

How the bill grows as you hire

Three different pricing models sit side by side in this group, and the model decides your cost more than any feature does. Jobber charges per seat: Core starts at $29 a month for one user, and every extra user adds $29 (as of August 2026). Service Fusion charges flat, about $208 to $533 a month, with unlimited users on every plan. ServiceM8 prices by job volume from about $29 a month, and paid plans carry unlimited users. FieldPulse runs about $99 a month at one to three users and climbs to about $399 at ten or more. Work out how many people need to log in, office staff included, before you compare tiers.

What the all-in-one plan leaves out

The feature you are buying the platform for is often sold on top of it. Housecall Pro keeps recurring service plans on the MAX tier at $299 a month (as of August 2026). Jobber puts QuickBooks sync, automatic reminders and GPS on Connect or higher, and runs review requests and email campaigns through Marketing Suite at $79 a month. FieldPulse charges about $30 per vehicle a month for fleet tracking. ServiceTitan runs marketing through the paid Marketing Pro module. GorillaDesk holds online booking, review requests and QuickBooks sync for the Pro plan. So the cheapest entry tier can turn into the more expensive plan. Write down the four or five things you need, then find the tier that carries all of them.

Trial, contract and how you leave

You can test some of these on your own jobs. Others you only see in a sales demo. Jobber, Housecall Pro, GorillaDesk, Synchroteam and ServiceM8 all run a 14-day free trial, and Kickserv gives 30 days. ServiceM8 also has a free plan up to 30 jobs a month. FieldPulse, Service Fusion and ServiceTitan have no trial at all. The exit matters more than the entry here. ServiceTitan holds you to a 12-month minimum that auto-renews, on top of a setup fee reported at $15,000 to $30,000 or more (as of August 2026). FieldEdge is usually a 12-month contract with a setup fee. Housecall Pro, Jobber, Kickserv, Workiz and ServiceM8 are month to month.
